Pastor Jason Drapeau

Pastor Jason is originally from Bloomington, MN—home of the famous “Mall of America,” one of the largest retail malls in the world (where he has admittedly wasted many days there as a teenager!).  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University in Secondary Education: Mathematics.  Pastor Jason was formerly a public high school math teacher in urban school districts in Williamsport, PA and Everett, MA, where he was blessed to take part in a high school Accreditation Committee, and served on a think-tank for a textbook publisher.  He received his Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, MA with an emphasis in Urban Ministry.  Pastor Jason loves good conversation about theology, and is passionate about encouraging and drawing people to the deep and rich truths of God’s Word, the Bible.  He also enjoys watching and playing sports, attempting manageable home improvement projects (of which he often needs much prayer and help to complete!), and spending time with his family.  Pastor Jason has been overjoyed to serve as the Senior Pastor of Winchester Community Church since November, 2011.  He also has been involved with other outreach opportunities and community programs in West Seneca, including the honor of being one of the Chaplains of the Winchester Volunteer Fire Company and the Co-Convener of the West Seneca Community of Churches.  He is additionally an author and encourager of healthy interpersonal relationships, having written a scholarly theological journal article (available here), as well as a timely book entitled Relationslips: Life Together in a Falling-Apart World (available by clicking the image below, as well as here).  He lives in West Seneca, NY with his wonderful wife, Val, and their four fantastic children: Caleb, Rachel, Emma, and Lily.
